This license statement constitutes a legal agreement between you (either as an individual or a single entity) and J4L Components for the software product you purchased (ActiveX version of RBarcode, RPDF417 , RMaxicode, RAztecCode, RQRCode or RDatamatrix), including any examples, source code and documentation.

BY DECOMPRESSING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE RECEIVED ZIP FILES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT.

Upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the License Agreement, you are granted the use of the Software in the manner provided below.

This Software is owned by J4L and is protected by copyright law and international copyright treaty. Therefore, you must treat this Software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book). 

Except as provided in the License Agreement, you may not transfer, rent, lease, lend, modify, translate, sublicense, time-share or electronically transmit or receive the Software, media or documentation.
 

GENERAL TERMS
 

You may not resell, rent, lease or distribute the source code or compiled standalone components. You may not resell, rent, lease or distribute the source code or components in any way that would directly compete with the seller.

All source code provided by seller that is distributed with an application must be compiled or password protected to the extent that only the software developer(s) may obtain access to it.

Reverse engineering, reverse compiling, or disassembly of the Software is expressly prohibited. 
 
 

REDISTRIBUTION

Redistribution of the software is prohibited.  If you need to include the software (ocx files) in your application and redistribute it you will need a redistribution license (please contact java4less@confluencia.net).

The following applies only  if you have agreed a redistribution license:

• The ocx files must be distributed as a part of an application and bundled with an application or with the application's installation files

• The application you distribute shall not be a software development tool intended for distribution to other software developers or programmers. The source code and components may only be used as part of and in connection with the bundled application

SOURCE CODE
 

You may modify the source code of the software to adapt it to your needs, however you may only redistribute the compile form (*.ocx files) of the modified files.

You are not allowed to redistribute any original or modified source code file.

You are not allow to copy and paste source code into external files. The source code may only be used within the original files.
 

TRADE SECRETS

You acknowledge and agree that the structure, sequence and organization of the Software are the valuable trade secrets of  J4L Components. You agree to hold such trade secrets in confidence. 
 

NO WARRANTY: THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND ALL RISK IS WITH YOU. J4L MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED ARE FREE OF ERRORS OR VIRUSES OR THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE SUITABLE FOR YOUR INTENDED USE. 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS IN ANY WAY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE AND/OR DOCUMENTATION, REGARDLESS OF  THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT  PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ANY REPRESENTATIVE OF J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS  DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY ANY FAILURE OF  THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES HEREUNDER.
