This license statement constitutes a legal agreement between you (either as an individual or a single entity) and J4L Components for the software product you purchased, either J4L Barcodes 1D for PHP, J4L PDF417 for PHP, J4L DataMatrix for PHP, J4L MaxiCode for PHP, J4L AztecCode for PHP, J4L GS1 Databar for PHP,  J4L QRCode for PHP, Standard or Ultimate Barcode Suite for PHP,  and J4L Barcodes 1D for Ruby ("The Software"), including any examples, source code and documentation.

BY DOWNLOADING, DECOMPRESSING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE SOFTWARE ZIP FILES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT.

Upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the License Agreement, you are granted the use of the Software in the manner provided below.

This Software is owned by J4L and is protected by copyright law and international copyright treaties. Therefore, you must treat this Software like any other copyrighted material.

GENERAL TERMS
Except as provided in this License Agreement, you may not transfer, rent, lease, lend, modify, translate, sublicense, time-share or electronically transmit or receive The Software, media or documentation.

SOURCE CODE
You may modify the source code of the software to adapt it to your needs. You are not allowed to copy and paste source code into external files. The source code may be used only within the original files.

NON COMPETITION
You agree not to use the knowledge acquired from the source code in order to develop for yourself or any third party any program that is similar to or competitive with The Software.

TRADE SECRETS
You acknowledge and agree that the structure, sequence and organization of The Software are the valuable trade secrets of J4L Components. You agree to hold such trade secrets in confidence.

TYPES OF LICENSES
You can purchase one of the following types of licenses: Single, Multiple and Distribution licenses.

SINGLE LICENSE
The purchase of a single license grants you the right to install and run the software, either the original or a modified version, on one web site or application owned by you or your organization, either for internal use or publicly accessible.

You may not transfer, resell, rent, lease, distribute  or otherwise make available to third parties the source code or components or modified versions of them. You should take reasonable measures in order to prevent the source code from being obtained by unauthorized third parties.

MULTIPLE LICENSE
A multiple license is equivalent to a number of single licenses to be used by a single organization or individual. It allows to install and/or run the software on multiple servers or applications.

This includes, but is not limited to:
(1) distinct web sites/applications running on a single server;
(2) identical web sites/applications running on several servers for load balancing or other purposes;
(3) when the application running the software functions as service for other applications/services
(4) cloud instances with more than one node or virtual core

DISTRIBUTION LICENSE
The purchase of a distribution license grants you the right to redistribute a number of copies of The Software to third parties, under the following conditions:

The Software may be distributed only as a part of a larger application and bundled within it.

Your application license to the third party, as far as it applies to The Software bundled in it, must comply with the terms of a single license. This is, the third party may be granted, at most, the rights of a single license.

Specifically you and all third parties should make sure that the source code is not transferred or made available to any other unauthorized third parties.

The application that you distribute shall not be a component or tool intended for distribution to other software developers or in general a product that would directly compete with J4L Components.

NO WARRANTY: THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND ALL RISK IS WITH YOU. J4L MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED ARE FREE OF ERRORS OR VIRUSES OR THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE SUITABLE FOR YOUR INTENDED USE.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS IN ANY WAY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE AND/OR DOCUMENTATION, REGARDLESS OF  THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT  PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ANY REPRESENTATIVE OF J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS  DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY ANY FAILURE OF  THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES HEREUNDER.
