Terms of license.

IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY 

This license statement constitutes a legal agreement between you (either as an individual or a single entity) and J4L Components for the software product you purchased (RTextPrinter for .NET), including any examples, source code and documentation.

BY DECOMPRESSING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE RECEIVED ZIP FILES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT.

Upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the License Agreement, you are granted the use of the Software in the manner provided below.

This Software is owned by J4L and is protected by copyright law and international copyright treaty. Therefore, you must treat this Software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book). 

Except as provided in the License Agreement, you may not transfer, rent, lease, lend, modify, translate, sublicense, time-share or electronically transmit or receive the Software, media or documentation.  

GENERAL TERMS  

You may not resell, rent, lease or distribute the source code or components. If you purchased a distribution license, you may not resell, rent, lease or distribute the source code or components in any way that would directly compete with the seller.

TYPES OF LICENSES

You may purchase a single license, or a redistribution license. Each single license allows you to use the software in any number of computers in your company. A redistribution license allows you to distribute a the software to third parties, with the condition that each on them must comply to the terms of a single license (this is, they may not distribute the software again).

If you purchase a redistribution license, classes must be distributed as a part of an application and bundled with an application or with the application's installation files.  The application you distribute shall not be a software development tool intended for distribution to other software developers or programmers.

SOURCE CODE

You may modify the source code of the software to adapt it to your needs. For a single license, you are not allowed to redistribute any original or modified source code file. You are not allowed to copy and paste source code into external files. The source code may only be used within the original files.

Non competition: you agree not to use the knowledge acquired from the source code in order to develop for yourself or any third party any program that is similar to or competitive with the Software.

TRADE SECRETS

You acknowledge and agree that the structure, sequence and organization of the Software are the valuable trade secrets of  J4L Components. You agree to hold such trade secrets in confidence. 
 

NO WARRANTY: THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS AND ALL RISK IS WITH YOU. J4L MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED ARE FREE OF ERRORS OR VIRUSES OR THAT THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE SUITABLE FOR YOUR INTENDED USE. 
 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA OR DATA BEING RENDERED INACCURATE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS IN ANY WAY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE AND/OR DOCUMENTATION, REGARDLESS OF  THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT  PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ANY REPRESENTATIVE OF J4L OR ITS SUPPLIERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS  DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY ANY FAILURE OF  THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES HEREUNDER.
